Job description

Delaney Computer Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced MSP Project Manager to lead client-facing technology projects in a fast-paced managed services environment.

This is not a generic corporate project management role. We are looking for someone who understands how projects work inside an MSP, where multiple client initiatives are moving at once, technical resources are shared, timelines shift, vendors need coordination, and strong communication is essential to keeping everything on track.

The right person will bring structure, accountability, and follow-through to a wide variety of projects while working closely with leadership, engineers, technicians, vendors, and clients.

About the Role

The MSP Project Manager will be responsible for organizing, driving, and overseeing the successful delivery of client technology projects from kickoff through completion. This individual will serve as the central point of coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are executed professionally, efficiently, and with a high level of customer confidence.

This role requires someone who can manage moving parts without losing control of details, maintain momentum when priorities shift, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Experience in project management, preferably within an IT or Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Comfortable collaborating with both technical teams and non-technical clients
  • Ability to work onsite in Mahwah, NJ
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple concurrent client technology projects from initiation through completion
  • Build and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, task ownership, and status reporting
  • Coordinate internal technical teams, outside vendors, procurement activities, and client-side stakeholders
  • Lead project communication, including kickoff meetings, status updates, scheduling discussions, and project closeouts
  • Oversee projects such as:
    • Microsoft 365 and Entra ID migrations
    • infrastructure refreshes and deployments
    • Access Control and Security Camera Deployments
    • office relocations and technology rollouts
    • structured cabling and installation coordination
    • AV and VoIP Rollouts
    • Server, network, endpoint, and security-related initiatives
  • Identify and manage risks, blockers, dependencies, and scope changes before they disrupt delivery
  • Keep clients informed and aligned throughout the life of each project
  • Work closely with leadership to prioritize work and allocate resources effectively
  • Help improve internal project processes, delivery standards, documentation, and handoff procedures
  • Track progress, timelines, deliverables, and overall project health to ensure projects are completed on time and with a strong client experience
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a managed services provider (MSP) or outsourced IT services environment
  • Proven success managing multiple simultaneous client-facing IT projects
  • Strong understanding of project coordination in a service business where technical resources are shared across ongoing support and project work
  • Experience with infrastructure, cloud, Microsoft 365, networking, identity, or office technology projects
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage many moving parts at once
  • Excellent communication and client-management skills
  • Ability to maintain control of schedules, action items, next steps, and follow-up without constant oversight
  • Strong sense of accountability, urgency, and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of project management experience in an MSP, IT services, or technology consulting environment
  • Familiarity with PSA, ticketing, documentation, and project tracking platforms used in MSP operations
  • Experience coordinating vendor-driven and field-related projects
  • PMP, CAPM, ITIL, or similar credentials are a plus, but practical MSP experience is more important
What Success Looks Like
  • Projects are organized, visible, and moving forward
  • Clients feel informed and confident throughout delivery
  • Engineers and technicians are able to focus on execution instead of chasing avoidable administrative issues
  • Risks, scheduling conflicts, and scope issues are addressed early
  • Leadership has confidence that projects are being managed professionally and effectively

Benefits

We offer a competitive benefits package that includes:

  • 401(k) plan with company match of up to 4%
  • Paid time off
  • Company profit-sharing
  • Company-sponsored dental and vision coverage
  • Optional supplemental life, disability, and accident insurance available through payroll deduction
  • Pet insurance for one eligible cat or dog
  • Access to a dog-friendly office for eligible employees and approved pets
