Job description

RK&K is seeking an experienced and strategic Right of Way Project Manager to oversee real estate projects, including negotiations, acquisitions, and relocation assistance-for utility, transportation, and other large-scale infrastructure projects in Florida. In this leadership role, you'll collaborate with clients, government agencies, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
Essential Functions
  • Lead Right of Way Agents supporting real estate and ROW project execution
  • Provide comprehensive real estate services
  • Prepare market analyses and compensation reports
  • Draft bid packages, option contracts, and condemnation filings
  • Testify in public hearings or trials
  • Reading and interpreting deeds, plats, plans, and land titles.
  • Navigating federal, state, and local real estate laws and processes
  • Negotiate complex acquisitions and divestitures for utility and transportation projects
  • Ensure compliance with the Uniform Relocation and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (Uniform Act) and federal, state, and local real estate laws
  • Prepare deeds, easements, options, condemnation packages, and legal agreements
  • Conduct property settlements and testifying in condemnation cases when required
  • Participate in project meetings, provide updates, and prepare meeting minutes
  • Prepare Comparable Market Analysis reports and Just Compensation letters
  • Review appraisals and title commitments
  • Research land records and assist in title curative work

Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of acquisition-level real estate experience, with a proven ability to win and deliver work
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Real estate acquisition and divestiture negotiations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional relationships with internal teams, clients, and the public
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in a variety of acquisition and relocation projects is required
  • National Highway Association or IRWA Completion Certifications for Real Estate Acquisition under the Uniform Act and Relocation under the Uniform Act

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience working with Department of Transportation projects
  • Experience working with Utility projects
