Field Based Assistant Project Coordinator – Entry Level

Location: Daily project site visits throughout Central Florida

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and hardworking individual to join our growing team as an Entry-Level Assistant Project Coordinator.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, working in the field, and being actively involved in construction projects. If you prefer sitting behind a desk all day, this is not the right role. Our projects are located throughout Central Florida, and you should expect to spend a significant portion of your workday traveling to project sites, meeting with contractors, documenting progress, and assisting our Project Managers in the field.

You do not need years of experience—we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. We will provide hands-on training and mentorship as you build a long-term career in construction, project management, or operations.

You will work closely with our Project Managers to help keep projects organized and moving forward. This role includes frequent site visits, vendor coordination, project updates, project documentation, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of active construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers with daily project coordination tasks.

  • Travel throughout Central Florida to visit multiple active construction sites.

  • Conduct site visits and document project progress through photos, notes, and detailed checklists.

  • Meet with contractors and vendors on-site to verify work progress, discuss schedules, and communicate project updates.

  • Help identify, document, and communicate project issues, delays, or quality concerns observed in the field.

  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors regarding scheduling and project updates.

  • Help organize project files, estimates, and documentation.

  • Track updates, deadlines, and tasks in Asana.

  • Follow up with vendors and team members as needed.

  • Assist with scheduling, communications, and general administrative support.

  • Support the team with miscellaneous operational tasks as projects move forward.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

  • Willingness to learn and grow with the company.

  • Organized and detail-oriented.

  • Good communication and follow-up skills.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

  • Enjoys being in the field and is comfortable spending much of the workday traveling between project sites.

  • Reliable transportation for frequent site visits throughout Central Florida.

  • Basic computer skills and comfort learning new software.

  • Must be comfortable visiting active construction sites and walking uneven terrain.

  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather, including heat and varying site conditions.

  • We're looking for someone proactive who follows through without needing constant supervision.

  • Valid driver's license required.

Experience
  • No extensive construction experience required.

  • Construction, operations, or project coordination experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Candidates looking to start a career in project management or construction are encouraged to apply.

Benefits & Growth Opportunities
  • Hands-on training and mentorship.

  • Opportunity for career growth and advancement.

  • Exposure to real-world construction and project management operations.

  • Flexible hybrid work environment.

  • 1099 or W2 options.

  • Weekly gas allowance.

  • $45,000 annual salary for the first 60 days. Performance review with possible compensation increase to $50,000 annual salary at the 60 day mark.
