Salary Range: $82,796 to $136,848 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.  
Employment Status: Full-time
Eligibility: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

St Francis Xavier College is a large 7 -12 comprehensive Catholic secondary school which has served the people of Canberra for nearly 50 years. About the Role

We are seeking to recruit a teacher of Religious Education to join an outstanding Faculty team who are dedicated, agile educators and whose practice relies on 21st century research, and evidence based pedagogy. Our teachers are expert in the delivery of the Australian Curriculum and BSSS Frameworks in Religious Education. Our teachers are expert in their specialisations, and their professional practice is supported by a multi-tiered Professional Learning agenda.

Qualifications and Eligibility

  • Bachelor of Education or Master in Teaching
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
  • Be a practising Catholic, connected to a parish or other worshipping community, supported by a written reference from a Parish Priest
  • Have completed or be due to complete Accreditation D in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
