Job description

Job Summary: The Relief Sales Representative is responsible for all aspects of the sales route they are covering in the absence of the assigned route sales representative.

Essential Responsibilities including but not limited to:
  • Knowledge & understanding of A/B selling skills
  • Knowledge and execution of all chain programs
  • Knowledge & proper use of A/B mobility system
  • Knowledge of all products carried by Nevada Beverage Co.
  • Proper inventory control with accounts
  • Price promotions- Knowledge of all current price promotions, communication with accounts of current price promotions
  • Booking displays/primary, secondary and side stacks
  • Rotation- Proper rotation and quality control procedures must be strictly followed. Procedures are defined by Anheuser Busch and Nevada Beverage Co. policy, procedures and standards
  • Monitor, assist and participate in depleting of hot pallet inventory. Also adhere to said guidelines if bringing back hot pallet product on any given day.
  • Customer relations- Professional customer relations both externally & internally must be practiced at all times
Additional Responsibilities may vary
  • Report any opportunities or concerns to the Team Leader of the territory.
  • When covering sales routes follow instructions left by route sales rep in CRM notes.
  • Completion of paperwork- merchandiser booking slips, job requests, objectives tracking
  • Knowledge of merchandising procedures and paper and permanent POCM
  • Attend any meetings as required (sales, safety)
  • Continue ongoing training through the ABU training system. Must complete initial sales certification and then annual recertification by Oct. 1
Required Skills/Abilities:

The Relief Sales Representative must have good customer service skills and present him/herself in a professional, neat and clean manner at all times, always representing the company positively. The Relief Sales Representative must be self-motivated, organized and have sufficient computer knowledge to successfully use the in-house computer tools. The Relief Sales Representative will have successfully completed the Nevada Beverage Training Program and have worked with Sales Reps and Team Leaders in a continuous training process. Product knowledge is essential as well as selling skills. Must be able to speak, understand and write the English language. A valid, Driver’s License is required along with a good driving record. The Driver’s License must be always maintained. Must have knowledge of basic computer applications. Must attend all required Anheuser-Busch and Nevada Beverage Company training courses. The ability to sit, stand, and walk is required as well as minimal lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality The work environment characteristics are representative of those found in a normal office environment with low to moderate noise level.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent and successful completion of Anheuser Busch required sales training.
