The location in Nekoosa, (Wisconsin, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Engineer, Reliability. This job is full-time permanent.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement improvements in process and equipment reliability by working closely with operations and maintenance personnel.
  •  Maintaining key reliability processes in accordance with the One Domtar standards.
  • Work with maintenance, engineering and operations personnel to support daily, monthly and annual scheduled maintenance outages within the field of reliability maintenance and engineering.
  • Work with mechanical maintenance and operations personnel to complete mechanical maintenance projects and preventive/predictive maintenance checklists and standards.
  • Support the mills goals for safety, environmental, and other areas of need.
  • Utilize predictive and preventative maintenance programs to identify and correct equipment issues.
  • Input and update equipment information and documentation.
  • Develop equipment manuals for precision inspection and maintenance of equipment.
  • Manage area equipment PM and maintenance programs.
  • Look for opportunities to solve issues, reduce cost, and improve planning performance.
  • Solve problems utilizing the mill's RCFA program.
  • Effectively manage contractors for job performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent education and experience.
  • 2-5 years' experience in mechanical/reliability maintenance.
  • Experience in predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, tribology, etc.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
  • Proven knowledge of reliability systems, methods, and processes.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Pulp & Paper industry experience.
  • Experience in RCM or FMEA
  • SAP experience
  • MLT1 certified or greater
  • Certified in predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Experience with DMSI MAINTelligence or other route-based software tool.

  • Ability to be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills.
  • Capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving, ambiguity, and change.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and understand technical correspondence, memos, instructions, and reports.
  • Ability to apply skills to continuous process improvement while maintaining maximum levels of safety.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.
  • Strong planning and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at one time.
  • Excellent people and process management skills.
