About the role
Regional Property Managers are responsible for managing the daily operations of a diverse portfolio of multifamily properties in accordance with company policies, lease agreements and applicable laws. Regional Managers report directly to the Vice President of Multifamily for Meritus Property Group.
What you'll do
  • Oversee and direct day-to-day property operations across assigned portfolio, which includes the direct management of on-site teams
  • Maximize income and control costs for the properties
  • Responsible for the monthly review of financial reporting and budget variance analysis, also overseeing the annual budgeting process with owners and property managers
  • Design and implement competitive and effective incentive compensation programs
  • Develop and implement marketing plans across markets
  • Perform regular site visits to ensure smooth operations and perform physical inspection of properties
  • Maintain positive client relationships
  • Recruit, train and develop on-site staff for your portfolio alongside human resources and perform disciplinary activities as needed
  • Monitor AR and AP functions for each property
  • Other related duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, industry experience considered
  • 6-10 years experience with 1000+ units and scattered site experience preferred
  • Experience managing on-site staff and maintenance teams
  • Knowledge of applicable real estate, property management and landlord/tenant laws
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and adapt to changing priorties
  • Proficiency in Yardi required, other programs including Microsoft, SAP Concur, TenantTech
