We're hiring a Regional Accounting Controller - Americas to oversee financial operations for multiple entities within our parent company's Measurement Systems (MS) division, including DTS, DSI, and VPG Canada. Summary
The Regional Assistant Controller/Americas is responsible for overseeing the Finance Department activities for the US Region Measurement Systems companies (DTS, DSI, VPG Canada) as well as assisting the Regional Controller regarding the management of regional finance activities.
Oversees the financial operations and performance of assigned regional branches, including but not limited to managing financial data, presenting insights to regional and global management, developing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading finance teams within the region.

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Provides financial and accounting support to the Regional Controller by overseeing the financial operations and performance of assigned regional branches. Ensures the accuracy of financial data and reports.
  • Provides finance administration support, including but not limited, by coordinating budging processes, monitoring expenses, analyzing financial data for insights, and developing forecasts.
  • Prepares and presents accurate, timely financial statements, reports, and analyses to regional and/or global leadership. Effectively communicates with various stakeholders, including regional and global teams.
  • Supervises, leads, and develops site finance and accounting teams, fostering high performance, and managing staff development.
  • Implements and enforces financial policies and procedures, monitor internal controls, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including GAAP and SOX.
  • Provides financial recommendations to management, supports strategic decision-making, and contributes to achieving regional and organizational goals. Recommends process improvements as needed.
  • Oversees regional audit and internal controls functions. May serve the primary liaison between external auditors and regional finance team by managing the flow of information and responding to inquiries.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as requested by Regional Finance management.

Experience and Skills

The qualifications and skills listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities for the job.   • Bachelor's or Master's degree with emphasis in finance, accounting, or similar discipline and significant related experience (approx. 5+ years) encompassing finance, accounting, financial planning, reporting and analysis in a manufacturing, multi-location/company, or public entity environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
  • CPA certification is Required.
  • Working knowledge in GAAP accounting and cost accounting. with strong revenue recognition experience. Previous experience working with an ERP system. Experience using SYSPRO is a plus.
  • Previous supervisory experience as well as the ability to lead/manage a finance team, in person and remote, at various locations utilizing strong analytical, reasoning, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills is necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to appropriately address and document details, simultaneously manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with other individuals/departments is necessary. The ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional, diplomatic manner is also necessary.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using MS Outlook, Excel (advanced level), Word, and Powerpoint as well as, the ability to learn and master other essential software products, such as SYSPRO.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

Estimated Salary Range:
The estimated salary range listed below allows for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as room for growth achieved within the role over time. Offers extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.
$140k - $165k annualized
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Equipment Use
This position works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention. The work environment is a production and engineering area and typical business office. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Occasional US and/or international travel to customer, vendor, corporate, and/or other sites may be necessary based on business or customer needs.
