Job description

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for coordinating activities with customers, sales representatives, administration and production to satisfy our customers' requirements. This individual will also answer telephone inquiries, respond to order inquires, general customer inquiries, customer complaints and process Customer orders with accuracy meeting or exceeding department goals.
Essential CSR Functions:
  • Customer Coordination - Coordinates activities with customers, sales representatives, administration, and production to meet customer requirements, including measuring/sizing customers, entering orders, supporting distributors and sales reps, and maintaining call logs.
  • Sales Department Support - Provides administrative support to the Sales Department as needed.
  • Inquiry Response - Answers incoming calls and responds to order inquiries, general customer questions, and customer complaints.
  • Sales Rep Assistance - Assists sales representatives with order-status updates, expediting urgent orders, and troubleshooting information.
  • Customer Communication - Communicates directly with customers regarding purchase order status, ship dates, and other order details.
  • Complaint Handling - Manages and resolves customer complaints and service issues professionally.
  • Special Order Coordination - Facilitates special and rush order requests from sales reps and direct customers; coordinates these orders with production.
  • Order Verification - Completes and verifies all customer purchase orders for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications:
  • ITAR Compliance - Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
  • Education Requirement - High school diploma or equivalent.
  • English Proficiency - Must be fluent in English with the ability to speak, read, and write at a professional level.
  • Customer Service Experience - Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Customer Service or a related field.
  • Software Skills - Ability to operate word-processing software, spreadsheets, and database programs.
  • Attendance Requirement - Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the position.
  • Overtime Availability - Must be available to work overtime with minimal notice.
  • Customer Service Skills - Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Time Management - Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Independent Work - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged Sitting - Sitting for extended periods while performing daily tasks.
  • Manual Dexterity - Dexterity and coordination to handle files, paperwork, and office materials; occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs., including files, stacks of paper, and reference materials.
  • Office Mobility - Moving throughout the office with minimal reaching for items above and below desk level.
  • Computer Use - Strength, dexterity, coordination, and vision to use a keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods.
