Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Equipment Refresh Technician to support enterprise computer lifecycle refresh initiatives across multiple customer locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for imaging, configuring, deploying, and replacing desktop, laptop, and tablet devices while providing excellent customer service, supporting data migration, maintaining IT asset inventory, and documenting work in ServiceNow.
Key Responsibilities
• Image, configure, and deploy Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices using standard enterprise images.
• Install, configure, and set up desktops, laptops, tablets, peripherals, and productivity software.
• Perform BIOS updates, domain joins, IP configuration, and device setup.
• Assist end users with login, system configuration, and data migration.
• Install applications and verify printer and network connectivity.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues during deployment activities.
• Disconnect and remove legacy equipment from user workstations.
• Transport legacy devices to designated storage locations and dispose of packaging materials appropriately.
• Collaborate with IT Client Services teams to resolve technical issues related to equipment refresh activities.
• Research and implement solutions for deployment and remediation issues.
• Document all work activities, issue resolutions, and asset updates in ServiceNow.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory records, including asset tags, serial numbers, user assignments, and location information.
• Update inventory documentation for equipment moves, additions, and changes.
• Collect, digitize, and upload device distribution records to approved repositories.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate deployment progress to end users.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support enterprise refresh initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Experience deploying and supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop and laptop environments.
• Experience imaging, configuring, and deploying enterprise computers.
• Knowledge of desktop, laptop, tablet, and peripheral hardware installation and configuration.
• Experience performing hardware setup, software installation, BIOS updates, and domain configuration.
• Experience supporting end-user data migration and application installation.
• Knowledge of network connectivity, printer configuration, and desktop troubleshooting.
• Experience maintaining IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Experience documenting incidents and work activities using ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to multiple customer locations using a personal vehicle.
• Ability to lift, transport, and install computer equipment as required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting enterprise hardware refresh or PC deployment projects.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and enterprise Windows environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale IT asset management initiatives.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and IT service management best practices.
• Experience working in government or enterprise IT environments.
