Job description

Role : Solution Architect
Remote (EST)
Contract position
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to lead the architecture and discovery for a strategic enterprise initiative to build a secure, repeatable UAT/Pre-Production and Data Replication platform for a leading healthcare technology organization.
The engagement begins with a Discovery phase that will define the architecture, implementation roadmap, and delivery approach for a production-grade environment capable of:
  • Building a production-like UAT/Pre-Production environment.
  • Supporting secure cloning of environments across the enterprise.
  • Implementing data de-identification aligned with enterprise privacy policies.
  • Enabling repeatable, on-demand environment provisioning and refresh capabilities.

The architect will work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Data Engineering, DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, Security, and Data Privacy teams to define a scalable, HIPAA-compliant solution that transitions seamlessly into implementation.
Key Responsibility:
Lead the overall architecture for the UAT/Pre-Production platform, ensuring alignment across application, data, infrastructure, and security domains.
Design scalable architectures for:
  • Production-like UAT environments
  • Enterprise environment cloning
  • Data synchronization
  • Environment refresh automation
  • Operational repeatability
  • HIPAA-compliant production data handling

Define mechanisms to support:
  • Full environment cloning
  • Customer-specific cloning
  • Multi-tenant data selection
  • Source and target environment abstraction
  • Incremental refresh
  • Partial refresh
  • Repeatable cloning workflows

Design the architecture so cloning becomes an operational capability rather than a one-time migration exercise.
Required Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of Solution Architecture experience.
  • 5+ years designing enterprise Azure solutions.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Azure Cosmos DB
    • Azure SQL
    • Distributed application architecture
    • Event-driven systems
    • Enterprise integration
  • Experience designing large-scale data synchronization platforms.
  • Experience with enterprise data migration or replication solutions.
  • Experience architecting secure healthcare or regulated environments.
  • Strong client-facing consulting and workshop facilitation skills.

Preferred:
Experience with:
  • Snowflake
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Functions
  • Kubernetes (AKS)
  • Terraform
  • Delphix
  • Data masking and de-identification
  • HIPAA compliance
  • Healthcare platforms
  • Multi-tenant SaaS architectures
  • Event Sourcing / CQRS
  • CI/CD platforms
  • Infrastructure as Code

Success Measures:
At the end of the Discovery engagement, the Solution Architect will have successfully:
  • Defined the target architecture for the UAT/Pre-Production platform.
  • Designed a reusable enterprise environment cloning capability supporting multiple source and target environments, full-environment and customer-specific cloning.
  • Produced the architecture for Cosmos DB/Azure SQL hydration and synchronization with Snowflake.
  • Defined the enterprise approach for database de-identification using Delphix in alignment with Data Privacy and HIPAA requirements.
  • Designed a repeatable, on-demand environment provisioning and refresh process rather than a one-time implementation.

Delivered architecture documentation, implementation roadmap, effort estimates, and technical recommendations that enable a seamless transition into implementation
