Description

A client of TEKsystems is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented PC Refresh Technician (Contractor) to support a long-term laptop refresh initiative. This role will focus exclusively on hands-on PC refresh activities (“station two” work) and associated shipping and asset tracking tasks. The contractor will support a large-scale refresh of approximately 4,600 pre-purchased laptops, with work projected to continue through 2026 and potentially beyond.

Perform PC refresh “station two” tasks, including:

Renaming computers

Running standardized scripts

Installing driver updates

Preparing and distributing connection/setup information to end users

Execute shipping and logistics duties:

Wipe down systems and prepare devices for shipment

Box laptops and print FedEx shipping labels

Accurately record tracking numbers and asset details in ServiceNow

Follow detailed, written procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy

Maintain a high level of attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Collaborate with internal IT staff; escalate issues as needed (complex troubleshooting handled by existing IT teams)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Crosse, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
