Their role is essential in ensuring efficient and effective transitions between different levels of care or service providers.

What does a referral manager do?

In the healthcare industry, a referral manager performs a variety of customer service, sales, and marketing duties focused on patient referrals to a clinic, nursing facility, doctor’s office, or hospital. The referral manager typically develops contacts, oversees referral coordinators, provides them with training, ensures they are versed in how to use customer relationship strategies, and oversees community outreach services.
