Role Summary:
As an Assistant Manager at our Family Entertainment Center (FEC), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. You will work closely with the Game and Bowling Manager and other team members to create an enjoyable experience for guests of all ages. Your responsibilities will span across multiple areas, including bowling, gaming, attractions, redemption, and facility maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring all activities run efficiently.
  • Supervise staff during shifts, maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other department to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor cash handling, point-of-sale systems, and inventory levels.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and revenue growth.

Bowling Management:
  • Oversee bowling lanes, equipment, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate birthday parties, special events on the lanes.
  • Address any lane malfunctions promptly to minimize disruptions for guests.
  • Enforce lane etiquette, including proper footwear and behavior, address any safety concerns promptly.

Gaming and Attractions:
  • Manage arcade games and other attractions.
  • Monitor guest flow, game performance, and troubleshoot technical issues during operations.
  • Collaborate and inform the team of any promotions or loyalty programs that are active in the game room.

Redemption Center:
  • Supervise the redemption area where guests exchange tickets for prizes.
  • Maintain inventory of redemption items, ensuring a variety of appealing choices.
  • Train staff on redemption procedures and customer service.

Cleanliness and Maintenance:
  • Regularly inspect the FEC premises for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
  • Coordinate cleaning schedules for restrooms, common areas, and gaming zones with the staff on duty.
  • Report and address, when possible, any maintenance or repairs needs promptly.

Staff Training and Development:
  • Train new hires on company policies, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
  • Foster a positive team culture through ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Cross-train staff to handle various roles within the FEC.

Guest Experience:
  • Ensure a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for families and individuals.
  • Address any issues promptly, striving for exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Implement strategies to enhance guest retention and repeat visits.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the entertainment industry (arcades, bowling centers, amusement parks, etc.) is preferred.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
  • Quick thinking and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Familiarity with gaming systems, point-of-sale software, and redemption process preferred.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking and reaching around the theater.
  • Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
