Job Title: Hospitality Department Head
Reports To: CMOJazzlyn Maldonado
Classification: Full-Time40 Hours Per Week
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday (8:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pmFlexible for Holidays, Conferences & Special Events
Position Overview
The Hospitality Department Head is responsible for overseeing the administrative, operational, and hospitality functions that support Redemption Church, church leadership, staff, volunteers, guests, and special events. This role ensures that all hospitality environments-including Green Rooms, VIP areas, kitchens, lounges, staff break rooms, and special event spaces-are maintained with excellence, professionalism, creativity, and intentional care.
This position requires a highly organized, servant-hearted leader who thrives in a fast-paced ministry environment, communicates effectively, manages teams and vendors well, and carries a strong attention to detail while supporting the overall vision and culture of Redemption Church.
Primary Responsibilities
Department Leadership & Administration
  • Lead and oversee all Hospitality Department operationsand responsibilities
  • Maintain professionalism and conduct becoming of achurch environment
  • Ensure clear, detailed, and professional communicationacross all areas
  • Meet deadlines consistently and communicate projectupdates effectively
  • Utilize organizational systems including Asana,Microsoft Teams, Outlook, calendars, and accounting systems
  • Submit purchase requests, expense reports, invoices,and financial documentation accurately and on time
  • Help create and manage hospitality budgets for weeklyministry needs and special events
  • Attend all required staff meetings, departmentmeetings, and organizational events
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive leadershipand ministry matters

Hospitality Operations
  • Oversee hospitality support for Sunday services,conferences, holidays, and special events
  • Ensure all hospitality spaces are stocked, clean,functional, and guest-ready
  • Manage kitchen inventory, breakroom supplies, GreenRoom inventory, and hospitality storage areas
  • Coordinate food, beverages, snacks, catering, andhospitality needs for ministries, staff, and leadership
  • Create systems for hospitality requests, eventexecution, and volunteer coordination
  • Assist with Green Room and VIP hosting environments forpastors, guests, and speakers
  • Prepare hospitality baskets, gifts, and welcomeamenities for special guests and conferences
  • Develop seasonal and event-related dรฉcor plans forhospitality environments

Event & Conference Support
  • Collaborate with the Special Events Department andleadership on conferences, celebrations, concerts, and major events
  • Coordinate catering, hospitality dรฉcor, VIP hosting,vendor communication, and event logistics
  • Obtain and maintain vendor documentation includingW-9s, permits, waivers, and compliance forms
  • Work alongside county and health departmentrequirements for kitchen and food service compliance
  • Assist in creating hospitality staffing plans andvolunteer schedules for events

Volunteer Leadership
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and develop Hospitalityvolunteers
  • Ensure volunteers are appreciated, communicated withconsistently, and properly equipped to serve
  • Maintain systems for onboarding and training volunteers
  • Oversee scheduling and communication for Sunday andevent hospitality teams
  • Build strong volunteer culture and team engagement

Facilities & Vendor Coordination
  • Partner with Facilities to maintain kitchen equipment,hospitality spaces, and supply areas
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and work orders asneeded
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, caterers,florists, suppliers, and delivery services
  • Oversee shipping and receiving for Hospitality-relateddeliveries

Executive & Leadership Support
  • Coordinate hospitality and meal support for executiveleadership as needed
  • Assist with food delivery, Green Room preparation, andhospitality arrangements for Pastor Ron and Pastor Hope Carpenter
  • Maintain hospitality readiness for leadership meetings,podcasts, and special gatherings
