Compensation: $22–$30 per hour, depending on relevant experience and qualifications

Position Overview

HiDO Health is seeking a part-time Clinical Research Coordinator to support the day-to-day execution of clinical research studies evaluating innovative home-based medication management technology.

This is a hands-on clinical research role focused on study coordination, participant support, data collection, documentation, and protocol execution. The position will work primarily from HiDO’s office in the Folsom/Sacramento region, with regular local travel to participants’ homes for scheduled study visits.

The position is initially part-time and may transition into a full-time role as study enrollment and clinical operations expand.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day clinical research activities in accordance with study protocols, IRB requirements, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and internal procedures.
• Support participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, enrollment, and ongoing study participation.
• Conduct or assist with scheduled participant home visits throughout the Sacramento region.
• Perform protocol-required study activities and collect study data during participant visits.
• Maintain accurate and timely source documentation, study records, visit documentation, and electronic data.
• Enter, review, and maintain study data in REDCap or other electronic data capture systems.
• Track participant visits, study milestones, follow-ups, and required assessments.
• Assist with medication inventory, medication-related study measurements, device-related assessments, and other protocol-defined activities.
• Support deployment, retrieval, and basic troubleshooting of HiDO study devices used in participants' homes.
• Communicate with participants and caregivers regarding study visits, scheduling, and study procedures.
• Identify protocol deviations, missing information, participant concerns, or operational issues and escalate them to study leadership.
• Assist with regulatory and study documentation, including IRB-related materials, training records, delegation logs, study binders, and quality-control activities.
• Work closely with investigators, clinical operations leadership, research staff, engineering/support personnel, and external clinical partners.
• Maintain participant confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, GCP, and applicable research requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health, science, psychology, public health, nursing, research, or related field preferred.
• Prior clinical research experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working directly with research participants or patients preferred.
• Familiarity with clinical research protocols, informed consent, IRB requirements, GCP, and HIPAA.
• Experience with REDCap or other electronic data capture systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently in participants' homes as well as collaboratively with an office-based research team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly when working with older adults, caregivers, and research participants.
• Ability to manage multiple participants, schedules, documentation requirements, and follow-up activities simultaneously.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally throughout the greater Sacramento region.
• Ability to work primarily from HiDO’s office with scheduled field visits as required by study activities.

Schedule and Growth Opportunity

This position will begin as a part-time role, with hours based on study enrollment and participant visit requirements. Most work will be performed from the HiDO office, with scheduled field time at participants' homes throughout the Sacramento region.

As HiDO's clinical research programs expand, there may be an opportunity for the position to transition into a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator role with increased responsibility across multiple studies.
