Prolim is hiring for a Redcap Administrator/ Analyst for a leading client
Location: Lansing, MI
Contract: Long term

The State of Michigan is seeking an experienced REDCap Application Administrator/Application Support Specialist to provide operational and technical support for an existing REDCap environment hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The selected contractor will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, user support, vendor coordination, and integration of the REDCap application to ensure a secure, reliable, and highly available platform.
This position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, DTMB infrastructure teams, AWS administrators, security teams, and Vanderbilt University REDCap support.
Responsibilities
  • Administer and support the REDCap application hosted in AWS.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support, including troubleshooting application, infrastructure, and user issues, documentation, and training.
  • Coordinate and implement REDCap software updates, patches, and version upgrades in collaboration with Vanderbilt University.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for REDCap-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and support REDCap External Modules.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot REDCap API integrations with internal and external applications and automate data flows.
  • Maintain MySQL databases, perform queries and validation.
  • Support REDCap External Modules development and deployment using PHP on Linux/AWS environments including Apache/Nginx.
  • Implement and maintain OIDC integration, Active Directory/LDAP, and SSL/TLS certificates.
  • Coordinate with AWS infrastructure teams regarding servers, storage, networking, SSL/TLS certificates, security groups, backups, and system monitoring.
  • Monitor application performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Support disaster recovery, backup validation, and system recovery activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration documentation.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with vendors, developers, database administrators, security teams, and business users.
  • Participate in change management, release management, and production support activities.
  • Ensure compliance with State security standards, applicable data privacy requirements, HIPAA compliance, and proper audit logging.
  • Develop automation scripts for reporting and data validation (PHP and SQL).
Required Qualifications
  • Experience supporting applications hosted on AWS.
  • 5-6 years of experience with MySQL database management.
  • 5-6 years of experience with PHP application environments and Microservices Development with configuration and troubleshooting.
  • 5-6 years of experience with OIDC/SAML integration.
  • Experience coordinating software upgrades and vendor support.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience supporting enterprise web applications.
  • Experience using AWS Cloud services (EC2, S3, VPC, Security Groups).
  • Experience with REDCap API integration.
