Job description

beem Light Sauna is a boutique wellness studio offering science-backed infrared sauna and red light therapy in beautifully designed private suites. We guide members toward real, lasting wellness results, and that starts with the team leading the floor.

At beem, acts of service and helping others are core values, the people who walk through our doors are looking for help managing stress, pain, sleep, recovery, and energy, and you set the tone for how that happens.

You're the kind of leader who walks in, reads the room, and takes ownership without waiting to be told — closing sales, coaching the team in real time, and running the floor when the owner isn't on-site. Our members build real relationships with the people who know their name, and so does our team. We're looking for someone who'll be here long enough for that to happen, and to grow with us.

Job Summary:
The Assistant Studio Manager is a full-time leadership role reporting directly to the Studio Owner. You'll close sales, coach the team, and own the studio floor day-to-day, the senior point of contact on shift and the Owner's right hand when they're off-site. This role is the top of the studio's day-to-day leadership bench, with a clear path to grow into a full Studio Manager role as the studio and team develop.

Responsibilities:

Sales Execution & Member Experience
  • Deliver a premium first impression and confidently lead tours, close memberships/packages, and model strong sales conversations (finding their why, objection handling, closing) for the team
  • Identify upgrade, retention, and re-engagement opportunities; support associates in closing high-potential leads
  • Drive lead outreach via calls, CRM workflows, and text/email campaigns; represent the studio at community and marketing events to generate leads and build brand visibility
Team Leadership & Coaching
  • Act as floor leader on shift and senior point of contact when the Owner is off-site
  • Coach associates in real time on sales conversations, bookings, and member situations; support onboarding of new hires alongside the Studio Lead
  • Reinforce sales scripts, processes, and standards consistently; communicate key updates or issues directly to the Owner
Member Experience & Retention
  • Own the full member lifecycle: check-ins, agreements, upgrades, cancellations, retention follow-ups
  • Resolve day-to-day concerns efficiently, escalating to the Owner when needed
  • Support membership culture through studio promotions, contests, and wellness activations
Studio Cleanliness & Suite Turnover
  • Maintain pristine standards across all sauna suites, red light rooms, restrooms, and common areas
  • Complete efficient suite turnovers between appointments: removing/replacing towels, sanitizing benches/glass/handles, resetting mint towels and amenities, checking iPad, temperature, timers, and chromotherapy lighting
  • Keep towel and laundry flow running throughout the shift, folding, rolling, and restocking supply to meet demand, especially during high-volume periods
  • Monitor suites for wear-and-tear or maintenance issues and flag promptly to the Owner
Studio Operations & Admin
  • Ensure front desk systems (POS, scheduling, CRM) are followed consistently and guest flow runs smoothly between appointments and walk-ins
  • Support promotions/campaigns execution, lead follow-up, confirmations, and CRM upkeep
  • Conduct outbound sales calls and lead follow-up during scheduled off-site shifts, as pre-approved by the Owner
Your background:
  • 2+ years in sales (fitness/wellness preferred) with demonstrated leadership or Lead-level experience
  • Proven ability to drive revenue through memberships and packages; comfortable coaching and directing others
  • Strong communicator, organized, tech-savvy, detail-oriented, self-motivated
  • Comfortable with hands-on physical work — cleaning, laundry, and staying on your feet throughout the shift
  • Reliable transportation for community/marketing events; open to a flexible schedule including early mornings, nights and weekends
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work briefly in heat above 135°F
What We Offer:
  • Eligible for performance-based incentives per company programs and studio needs
  • Complimentary beem® membership and employee retail discounts
  • Clear growth path to Studio Manager, with career development partnering directly with the Studio Owner
  • Closed major holidays (New Year's, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
  • 401(k)
