SUMMARY


Primary responsibility is to oversee the Wellness guides, success of the Programs department and produce a rolling schedule to brand standards. The wellness operations manager serves as the Manager on Duty for the Programs team and assists with the coordination of all guest needs, staff scheduling to accommodate guest needs, and provides attention to details in the brand standards.


Essential Functions:


The Wellness operations manager is expected to perform the following duties:

  • Lead team of Wellness Guides and oversee Programs operational teams
  • Deliver quality program options in line with Brand Standards and according to resort occupancy.
  • Recommend and implement methods for increasing revenue.
  • Continuously monitor cleanliness of environment, ambience, and condition of physical space.
  • Collaborate as needed on projects and strategies related to Civana’s growth and brand expansion.
  • Manage class schedule accuracy on a daily basis.
  • Run effective weekly team meetings.
  • Schedule classes on quarterly basis while managing space logistics across property.
  • Work closely with Sales and Events to execute and oversee group programming.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to manage Wellness Partnerships.
  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of payroll and attendance for all programs teams.
  • Develop and implement training initiatives for guest services and operational procedures for programs.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Be available to assist with smooth operation of Programs.
  • Disciplinary discussions and action plan follow-up with team
  • Maintain open communication and supervision of all Programs team members
  • Liaise with other departments on guest and departmental challenges and/or needs and handle and/or offer assistance as required.
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff and all Civana Carefree property.

· Product knowledge - Hospitality, Resort, and High-End Residential, with knowledge of the health and wellness industries.

· Strong leadership and organizational skills necessary to manage various departments as well as total Programs operation.

· Possess business and financial skills to assist in developing and analyzing budgets, management and financial reports, cost analysis, etc.

· Must display appropriate social skills, congeniality, confidentially and discretion necessary to make guests feel comfortable and welcome and serve as a role model for colleagues.

· Demonstrated experience and ability to mentor, teach, supervise, motivate, monitor, encourage and support the advancement and continuity of staff.

· Full time, flexible availability.

· Strong leadership and organizational skills necessary to manage various departments as well as total Programs operation.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Previous Management experience in Studios, Spa, Wellness or Recreation required with direct operational responsibility and supervision.

· Resort experience preferred.

· Experience with producing class and experience schedules preferred


LANGUAGE SKILLS

· Possess fluent use of the English language.

· Ability to effectively communicate with members of the Media and relate the Civana Carefree Experience in an authentic and personal manner.

· Ability to develop forecasts and analyze financial statements.

· Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.

· Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, staff and the general public.
