Account Executive - Commercial Interiors
Jacksonville, Florida
About the Position
Join a growing commercial interiors organization that is expanding its presence across Florida and investing in long-term relationships, exceptional client service, and continued growth. We are looking for a driven Account Executive to join our Jacksonville team and play a key role in developing new business while managing and growing an established portfolio of commercial clients.
This is an ideal opportunity for a relationship-focused sales professional who enjoys both the excitement of business development and the satisfaction of growing long-term client partnerships. You'll work closely with architects, interior designers, end users, commercial real estate professionals, project managers, and general contractors to deliver innovative workplace solutions that help clients create exceptional spaces.
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing strategic relationships, managing projects from initial conversations through installation, and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the client journey. You'll collaborate closely with internal design, project management, and customer service teams to ensure every project is delivered seamlessly.
Requirements
  • 3-6 years of commercial sales experience within commercial interiors, contract furniture, workplace solutions, architectural products, or a related B2B industry.
  • Proven success in business development, prospecting, and generating new client relationships.
  • Experience managing existing accounts while identifying opportunities for continued growth.
  • An established network within Florida's architecture and design community, including relationships with architects, interior designers, commercial real estate professionals, developers, project managers, and general contractors.
  • Strong consultative selling, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms to manage pipelines, forecasts, and client activity.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Jacksonville market and surrounding areas.
What Will Set You Apart
  • Experience working within a commercial furniture dealership or commercial interiors organization.
  • A well-established network throughout the Jacksonville commercial design and construction community.
  • Experience selling workplace furniture, architectural products, or integrated workplace solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial project lifecycle, from opportunity identification through installation and post-project support.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for developing new business.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with clients while uncovering future opportunities for growth.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with designers, project managers, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, referrals, industry events, and strategic relationship building.
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of commercial clients while identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, end users, developers, commercial real estate professionals, project managers, and general contractors.
  • Lead client meetings to understand workplace objectives and recommend tailored commercial interiors solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal design, project management, customer service, and operations teams to develop comprehensive project solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, quotations, and client recommendations.
  • Manage the sales process from initial opportunity through project completion while ensuring a best-in-class client experience.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently achieve or exceed individual sales goals.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage client activity, forecasts, and business development initiatives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, workplace strategy, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Represent the organization at networking events, trade associations, and industry functions throughout the Jacksonville market.
  • Provide ongoing account management and support to develop long-term client partnerships and repeat business.
Why Join Us?
This is an exciting opportunity to join an organization that is continuing to grow across Florida while investing in its people and its clients. You'll have the opportunity to build your own book of business, strengthen relationships within the commercial interiors community, and work alongside an experienced team dedicated to delivering exceptional workplace solutions.
If you're a motivated sales professional who enjoys opening doors, building lasting relationships, and helping clients bring their workplace vision to life, we'd love to hear from you.
