Job description

Summary:
Under the direction of the Talent amp; Retention Manager, the Recruiting Specialists is responsible for leading full-cycle recruiting efforts to support high-volume staffing needs across distribution centers within an assigned region. This position partners closely with Human Resources and Operations leadership to attract, recruit, and hire top talent while building proactive candidate pipelines that support both current and future workforce needs. The Recruiting Specialist ensures an exceptional candidate experience through timely communication, strong organizational skills, and a sense of urgency throughout the hiring process.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This position requires regular on-site presence during business hours, with occasional travel and off-site availability for recruiting events, job fairs, and community outreach activities.
Essential Functions:
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for high-volume and critical operational positions across an assigned region.
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract, engage, and hire qualified candidates while maintaining a proactive talent pipeline.
  • Source candidates through online job boards, social media platforms, employee referrals, networking events, job fairs, campus recruiting, and other sourcing methods.
  • Conduct phone screens and candidate prequalification interviews to evaluate experience, qualifications, and overall fit for open positions.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates, hiring managers, and Human Resources teams.
  • Partner with hiring managers and operational leadership to evaluate candidates and provide hiring recommendations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate pre-employment screening activities in partnership with site Human Resources teams.
  • Extend employment offers and support candidates through the onboarding process.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records, requisition updates, and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Prepare and maintain recruiting reports to provide visibility into open positions, recruiting progress, and staffing metrics.
  • Communicate regularly with hiring managers and Human Resources regarding recruiting activity, staffing challenges, and hiring timelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, workforce development partners, colleges, and recruiting resources to strengthen candidate pipelines.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and overall hiring efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable employment laws throughout the recruiting process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Qualifications amp; Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of combined Human Resources and/or recruiting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience recruiting for high-volume operational, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution center positions preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting practices, employment laws, hiring regulations, and candidate selection processes.
  • Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting technologies.
  • Experience developing proactive sourcing strategies and building talent pipelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset with a high sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Ability to analyze recruiting metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
Education amp; Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and professional recruiting experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is required.
