Job description

Director of Talent Acquisition / Recruiting

Location: South Florida (Relocation Available)Compensation: $160K-$180K Base + 20% Bonus+Reports To: VP of Human ResourcesPosition Type: F/T Perm

This organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Recruiting to lead and transform its talent acquisition function. The role will oversee a growing team (three recruiters today) and manage an RPO partnership while building a proactive, business-focused recruiting organization. Key responsibilities include developing recruiting best practices, implementing meaningful hiring metrics, improving recruiting processes, training hiring managers, and creating scalable talent pipelines across the business.

The ideal candidate has experience leading recruiting teams in high-volume, blue-collar environments such as construction, manufacturing, healthcare/hospitals, hospitality, restaurants, or similar labor-intensive industries. This individual must be capable of scaling recruiting operations, driving accountability, partnering closely with business leaders, and creating a culture of proactive talent acquisition rather than reactive recruiting. Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on white-collar or corporate recruiting environments will be less aligned with the organization's needs.

Key Priorities

  • Lead and develop a recruiting team and external RPO resources.
  • Build a proactive recruiting function that operates as a strategic business partner.
  • Establish recruiting best practices and interview process metrics.
  • Train hiring managers on effective interviewing and talent selection.
  • Create sustainable talent pipelines for ongoing hiring needs.
  • Improve recruiting efficiency while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Drive hiring success across a predominantly blue-collar workforce environment.

Ideal Background

  • Director-level Talent Acquisition or Recruiting leadership experience.
  • Experience recruiting large-scale blue-collar workforces. (experience in recruiting white-collar workers will not be a good match for this role)
  • Background in construction, manufacturing, healthcare/hospitals, hospitality, restaurants, or similar industries.
  • Proven success building recruiting processes, metrics, and teams.
  • Strong leadership, training, and stakeholder management skills.

Bottom Line: This is an opportunity for a recruiting leader who can modernize and scale a talent acquisition function, build strong hiring manager partnerships, and create a best-in-class recruiting organization focused on attracting and hiring high-volume blue-collar talent nationwide.
