How much do recovery house jobs pay per hour?
What is a recovery house?
A Recovery House job typically involves supporting individuals recovering from substance use disorders in a structured, sober living environment. Duties may include monitoring residents, enforcing house rules, providing emotional support, coordinating activities, and connecting residents with necessary resources. Staff members help create a safe and supportive atmosphere to encourage long-term sobriety and personal growth. Positions can vary from house managers to support staff, depending on the facility's needs.
What are some common challenges faced by staff working in a recovery house setting?
One common challenge for Recovery House staff is maintaining a safe, supportive environment while managing residents at various stages of recovery. Staff regularly handle crises, enforce house rules, and mediate interpersonal conflicts, which requires patience and strong problem-solving skills. Teamwork is key, as staff often collaborate with counselors, social workers, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address resident needs. Over time, staff develop valuable experience in crisis intervention and community support, which can open doors to advanced roles within addiction services or behavioral health management.
What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the recovery house position, and why are they important?
To thrive as a Recovery House Manager, you need a solid background in addiction recovery, facility management, and basic health and safety protocols, often supported by certifications such as CPR/First Aid and knowledge of recovery program models. Familiarity with case management software, inventory control systems, and compliance documentation is typically required. Compassionate leadership, conflict resolution, and strong organizational skills are crucial for guiding residents and staff effectively. These competencies ensure the facility runs smoothly, supports resident recovery, and maintains regulatory and safety standards at all times.

Psychiatric Recovery House, Inc. is actively seeking dedicated and passionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to join our innovative psychotherapy team. This unique opportunity allows therapists to engage in remote practice while enjoying a flexible schedule designed to promote a healthy work-life balance. As part of our organization, you will have the chance to focus on your clients without the burden of administrative tasks, which we handle efficiently for you.
About the OrganizationLocated in the vibrant community of Saint Petersburg, Florida, Psychiatric Recovery House, Inc. is committed to providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals and families. Our outpatient practice leverages telehealth technology to improve accessibility, making mental health support available to a broader audience. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive work environment that emphasizes professional growth, collaboration among clinicians, and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Work EnvironmentThis role is entirely remote, offering you the flexibility to work from home and to choose hours that suit your lifestyle. At Psychiatric Recovery House, Inc., we value autonomy; therefore, you will have the freedom to manage your caseload, which can vary between 10 to 30 billable hours weekly. To encourage professional engagement, we provide opportunities for virtual consultations and occasional in-person meetings for team collaboration and support.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and deliver short-term psychotherapy to clients, utilizing a variety of modalities including individual, family, and group therapies.
- Offer crisis intervention, brief therapy sessions, skills training, supportive counseling, stress management, and specialized therapies such as couples counseling and addictions counseling.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and remain in compliance with relevant guidelines and protocols, ensuring the highest standard of clinical care.
- Collaborate with other health care professionals in multidisciplinary teams to devise and execute joint treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive patient support.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including therapy records, treatment plans, and outcomes evaluations to ensure continuity of care and effective communication.
- Employ telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) effectively to manage client information and treatment histories.
- Review and discuss cases during clinical team meetings to continuously improve quality and efficacy of care provided.
Your primary focus will be working with a diverse range of clients grappling with mental health issues and dual diagnoses. You will support individuals, couples, and families in navigating their challenges with care, understanding, and evidence-based techniques. This population may include clients engaged in Intensive Outpatient Programs, requiring tailored and flexible assessment methods.
Qualifications- A valid LMFT license or Psy.D credential to practice in the state of Florida.
- A master's or doctoral degree in psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in providing psychotherapy services, demonstrating competence in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records is required.

Familiarity with the latest Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) will also be advantageous.
