Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Visual Arts department on the Gainesville campus. The preferred applicant is a student with a background and interest in visual arts. The Drawing and Painting Studio Assistant will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and functioning working space for the Drawing and Painting and 2D areas. The individual will also serve, at times, as a monitor for open studio hours. The individual in this position will work approximately 10 hours each week and schedules will be made based on class schedules.
Responsibilities
  • General responsibilities include ensuring and helping to maintain cleanliness and organization in the studios, reporting items in need of repair, painting surfaces, hanging artwork for display, assisting with supply management/inventory, and serving as an open studio monitor as needed.

  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
