In this central role, you will be the heartbeat of our Health Service Unit, providing essential scheduling and program coordination to support our patients, clinical staff, and administrative leaders. Balancing patient care coordination with vital medical records management, you will act as a welcoming guide for patients and a trusted partner to your colleagues. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Patient Care Scheduling: Masterfully coordinate patient appointments and program schedules, ensuring clinical workflows run efficiently and patients receive timely care.

  • Medical Records Stewardship: Maintain the absolute integrity of our medical records system, overseeing the secure organizing, updating, and archiving of critical patient health information.

  • Dynamic Communication: Professionally prepare, manage, and distribute incoming and outgoing administrative correspondence, acting as a clear communication bridge for the unit.

  • Information Governance: Facilitate the accurate and timely release of medical information while maintaining strict patient privacy and regulatory compliance.

  • Data Integration: Keep computer databases up-to-date and organized, providing smooth data retrieval and reporting to support strategic clinical governance.

  • First Response Support: Maintain immediate readiness to perform life-saving BLS and first aid to ensure patient safety and comfort within the facility until advanced emergency care arrives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience Baseline: Minimum of 1 year of patient scheduling experience in a clinical setting OR 1 year of hands-on experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA).

  • Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive and multi-task within a fast-paced clinical environment featuring competing priorities.

  • Precision: Meticulous attention to detail with high data-entry accuracy.

  • Communication Excellence: Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate successfully across teams.

  • Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) along with completed training in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

  • Work Type: Full-Time Contract Position.

  • Work Setting: On-site, Correctional setting.
