Job description

Position OverviewBurlington Stores seeks a highly organized and self-driven Real Estate Specialist to provide critical support to our territory-based Real Estate Directors. This role is embedded within the Real Estate team, working closely with Directors to ensure best-in-class execution of real estate transactions. The ideal candidate is expected to be proactive, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities independently, including tracking landlord construction schedules, maintaining portfolio databases, and executing special projects.A Day in the Life

Responsible for assisting in coordinating and maintaining the entire site selection process with internal and external partners through Real Estate Committee processes. Asist in managing all internal systems and reporting through store opening.

Responsibilities:

  • Critical Path -Coordinate with directors and landlords to obtain construction schedules and monitor project progress.

  • Site Plans - Collaborate with the director to sketch out the site plans that will go into the LOI.

  • Bankruptcy - Coordinate with directors, market planning, and finance to evaluate site locations.

  • Work with the VP of Real Estate and Legal to review the Letters of Intent and all the revisions prior to receiving the Executed Letters of Intent from 11 Directors. Will Make sure all the exhibits are attached, site plans are sketched properly, addresses are correct, building age is on the LOI and the Landlord delivery date is correct.

  • Attend regional ICSC shows and conduct site visits with the director and broker.

  • Partner in planning and implementing Real Estate Committee meetings. Manage the preparation and coordination of multiple site packages with internal and external partners such as Finance, Market Planning and Real Estate leaders.

  • Initiate and manage all Real Estate workflow processes with VP of Real Estate, Directors of Real Estate, Brokers, and Market Planning teams to assure accurate and timely completion in preparation for all approvals within the Lucernex system. Provides Lucernex System coaching and leadership as required.

  • Work directly with Real Estate Directors in assigned division to assist in managing and tracking all aspects of the deal life cycle. Will have frequent contact with external partners - both developers and brokers to assist internal departments in securing needed materials and information.

  • Assigns real estate store development schedule timelines within the Lucernex platform, working with real estate Directors, VP of Real Estate and Construction partners to assure consistent, accurate and timely updates for distribution each week to executives and organizational stakeholders.

  • Support major Initiatives including acquisition opportunities by preparing, evaluating, and coordinating relevant data for quick Management distribution.

  • Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or equivalent work experience

Licenses/Certification/Registration:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point user

  • Experience in Lucernex based Lifecycle Management Tool preferred.

  • Previous experience in Retail Real Estate
