Job description

NOV is seeking a Real Estate Analyst based in Houston, Texas, to support our global real estate portfolio. This role will assist with real estate portfolio data management, reporting, project coordination, and real estate-related administrative processes across NOV's global portfolio of leased and owned facilities.

The Real Estate Analyst will serve as a coordination and support resource for the team. This person will administer tracking tools, maintain real estate data sources, maintain facility and real estate records, assist with market research, and partner with internal and external stakeholders.

This role is ideal for someone with an interest in corporate real estate who is organized, detail-oriented, analytical, responsive, and comfortable supporting a broad range of tasks. The position will play an important part in supporting real estate activities across our global portfolio by maintaining accurate data, supporting reporting tools, and coordinating across multiple functions.

What You'll Do

  • Administer and maintain real estate portfolio data, reports, and related documentation for leased and owned facilities.
  • Support portfolio management by tracking facility activity, lease information, project updates, deadlines, and key follow-up items.
  • Monitor global real estate activities by maintaining trackers and dashboards used to document changes and projects related to facilities. 
  • Assist with market research and data compilation to support real estate projects, reports, and decision-making for owned and leased facilities.
  • Maintain organized records of documents and correspondence that support current processes and procedures.
  • Assist with special projects and other real estate or facilities-related tasks as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, finance, data analytics, economics, or a related field preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience in real estate, consulting, facilities, data management, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in corporate real estate and willingness to learn a broad range of real estate and facilities functions.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain trackers, compile data, identify inconsistencies, and prepare clear summaries.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Ability to follow existing procedures, ask questions, and check for understanding.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accountability, reliability, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work fully in office in Houston, Texas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with commercial real estate terminology and general understanding of key processes.
  • Experience with Excel-based trackers, SharePoint, or other project-tracking/reporting tools.
  • Exposure to data visualization or reporting tools, such as Power BI, with an interest in creating dashboards, reports, and visual summaries to support portfolio visibility.
  • Experience supporting administrative processes, project coordination, reporting, or data management.
  • Basic ability to review financial or cost information, including rent, operating expenses, budgets, percentages, and comparisons.
  • Interest in using technology, reporting tools, and approved automation resources to improve data quality and workflow consistency.
