A range manager is responsible for overseeing large tracts of land called rangelands. Range managers are also sometimes referred to as range conservationists or range scientists. As part of your job duties as a range manager, you work with local farmers and landowners with stakes on or adjacent to these rangelands. To thrive as a Range Manager, you need expertise in land management, environmental science, and agricultural practices, typically supported by a relevant degree such as range management, natural resources, or ecology.
