Job description

Quoting Clerk Manager
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead quoting, cost estimation, and design efforts for cable and wire harness assemblies in a manufacturing environment. This role oversees a team responsible for technical quoting, BOM development, and engineering design while driving efficiency, accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the quoting and engineering team for cable and harness assemblies
* Oversee cost estimates, BOMs, and labor calculations for accuracy and competitiveness
* Review and approve customer drawings, specifications, and final quotes
* Ensure all designs meet customer requirements and company standards
* Coordinate with production and purchasing on feasibility and material availability
* Drive process improvements to improve quoting speed and accuracy
* Monitor team performance, deadlines, and project timelines
* Support engineering and capital projects, including process development
Requirements
* Bachelor"s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Experience in cable design, wire harness assembly, or engineering quoting
* Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of electrical cable assemblies and design principles
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects
Preferences
* Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
* Background in electrical cable manufacturing or industrial design
* Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
* Bilingual (English/Spanish)
