The group you'll be a part of
The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.
The impact you'll make
As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the development and productization of advanced software solutions that power Lam's global Service Business. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable products while shaping the long-term systems architecture that supports engineers, the field and customers worldwide.
What you'll do
  • Drive complex, cross-functional software programs from concept through implementation and deployment under established direction and strategy
  • Collaborate actively with project teams by participating in planning, execution, and problem-solving activities to support alignment and delivery
  • Own assigned workstreams and deliverables, proactively tracking progress, implementing corrective actions, and escalating risks or blockers as needed
  • Execute program plans including schedules, dependencies, risk tracking, and issue resolution across geographically distributed teams
  • Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in partnership with product and engineering teams
  • Partner with stakeholders across product, engineering, business, marketing, and field teams to support alignment, decision-making, and successful execution
  • Track and manage feature execution, monitoring progress, quality, and readiness across projects and releases
  • Contribute to the improvement of business systems, integrations, and processes by identifying gaps and driving targeted enhancements
  • Prepare and deliver clear program status updates, metrics, and communications for program stakeholders and leadership

Who we're looking for
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience, or PhD with 4+ years of experience, or equivalent industry experience
  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management, continuous improvement, or related technical or operational roles focused on program execution and delivery
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to engage with field users and gain firsthand understanding of customer, engineering, and operational requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions within defined scope to support implementation of technical, process, or operational improvements
  • Strong working knowledge of business process development, process controls, and aligning work-item execution to defined organizational goals and outcomes
  • Required tool proficiency: Jira, Confluence, Workboard, or equivalent Agile and OKR platforms

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience or domain knowledge in semiconductor fabrication, equipment operations, or related high-tech industries
  • Strong understanding of program management methodologies and experience with Product Development & Release (PDR) processes
  • Relevant project/program management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or Scrum Master
  • Familiarity with OKR (Objectives and Key Results) frameworks for alignment and execution
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Proficiency with program and project management tools such as MS Project, QuickBase, OfficeTimeline, or equivalent platforms
  • Experience with organizational change management and adoption methodologies is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to champion field needs and drive alignment between customer-facing teams and internal organizations

Salary
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $104,000.00 - $231,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
