What You'll Do:
  • Expand and enhance cost models for complex hardware assemblies to improve business and engineering decision-making.
  • Analyze current engineering work-tracking processes and help implement standardized, scalable workflow solutions.
  • Support development and usability improvements for Python-based manufacturing cost models and associated reporting tools.
  • Evaluate existing tools, processes, and data sources to identify efficiency opportunities and recommend practical solutions.
  • Contribute to automation and productivity initiatives designed to improve engineering operations and team performance.
  • Research unfamiliar topics and independently develop solutions in areas with limited documentation or established processes.

What You'll Bring:
  • 3+ years of experience in business process improvement, operations analysis, process engineering, business analytics, manufacturing support, or related analytical roles.
  • 3+ years of advanced Excel experience, including data analysis, modeling, reporting, and business decision support.
  • 2+ years of experience developing, improving, or supporting workflow processes, internal tools, or operational systems.
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing complex business, engineering, manufacturing, or operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • 1+ years of experience working with cost models, business models, financial analysis tools, or operational performance metrics.

What Sets You Apart:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations, Manufacturing, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and independent research skills.
  • Experience working within engineering, manufacturing, semiconductor, or other technical organizations.
  • Experience standardizing workflows, project tracking methods, and business processes across teams.
  • Experience building or refining manufacturing, hardware, or engineering cost models.
  • Knowledge of variable costs, fixed costs, labor costing, capital allocation, burden rates, scrap, and yield analysis.
  • Experience with project and work-tracking platforms such as Planview, Smartsheet, Quickbase, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Experience with SharePoint, SharePoint Grid View, and Power BI dashboard development.
  • Experience using AI-assisted technologies such as GitHub Copilot for workflow automation, scripting, analytics, or tool development.
  • Familiarity with Python-based analytical tools and automation solutions.

Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
  • Overtime: May be required based on project needs and deadlines.
  • Lifting Requirements: Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM PST.
  • Work Environment: Flexible onsite schedule located in Fremont, California.
  • Project Duration: 4-month special project assignment.
