Job description

Director, Business Analytics

Summary:

Leads the Business Analytics function and provides strategic direction for analytics, data-driven decision making, and operational performance across multiple business areas. Serves as a trusted advisor to senior executives, partnering with organizational leadership to define strategic priorities,identifytransformational opportunities, and develop enterprise analytics capabilities that drive measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the leadership, governance, and execution of multiple analytics disciplines, including advanced analytics, business intelligence, operational reporting, long range forecasting, and performance measurement. Directs the development and implementation of analytics strategies, methodologies, policies, and standards that support organizationalobjectivesand enable scalable insight generation across the enterprise.
  • Establishes long-term strategic plans and operationalobjectivesfor the analytics function. Oversee the design and deployment of advanced analytical solutions, predictive models, and technology-enabled capabilities that improve business performance,optimizeoperations, enhance customer and provider experiences, and support growth initiatives.
  • Leads managers, analysts, and cross-functional teams in translating complex business challenges into actionable insights. Works closely with executive leadership, technology teams, and business stakeholders to ensure enterprise data assets, analytical frameworks, and reporting capabilities support organizational priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Acts as a key leader in advancing a data-driven culture through innovation, governance, talent development, and continuous improvement. Has overall responsibility for planning, staffing, budgeting, resource allocation, and execution of analytics initiatives across the function. Decisions havesignificantimpact on organizational performance and long-term business strategy.

Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degreerequired;Master'sdegree preferred in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Quantitative Psychology, Computer Science, Data Science, Healthcare Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative or technical field.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in healthcare analytics, business intelligence, data science, operations analytics, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including management of managers and/or multiple analytics teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale analytics programs, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional transformations.
  • Experience influencing executive leadership and driving organizational decision-making through data and analytics.
  • Proven experience managing budgets, strategic roadmaps, and complex portfolios of analytics initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of advanced analytics methodologies including predictive modeling, forecasting, simulation, optimization, statistical analysis, experimentation, and performance measurement.
  • Demonstrated ability toestablishanalytics strategies that align with organizationalobjectivesand influence long-term business outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare operations, payer and provider business models, healthcare economics, and value-based care initiatives.
  • Ability to influence senior executives and reconcile competing stakeholder priorities to achieve enterpriseobjectives.
  • Experience developing analytics governance frameworks, data standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong financial and business acumen withdemonstratedsuccessidentifyingopportunities for growth, cost optimization, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.
  • Expertise withenterprise analytics and visualization platforms, including Tableau, Power BI, SQL, SAS, and other advanced analytical tools.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing analytics organizations and future leaders.
  • Exceptional executive communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex analytical findings into business recommendations.
  • Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with significant organizational visibility and impact.

Director-Level Leadership Expectations:

  • Establish strategic plans and objectives for the analytics function and ensure alignment with enterprise priorities.
  • Provide direction and accountability for multiple analytics disciplines or a functional area inclusive of long-range forecasting.
  • Make decisions with significant operational and strategic implications that mayimpactthe organization over a3-5 yearhorizon.
  • Influence executive stakeholders and drive consensus across diverse business groups.
  • Lead policy development, governance, resource planning, budgeting, and organizational design for the analytics function.
  • Anticipate emerging business, market, regulatory, and operational challenges and proactively develop solutions.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 157,700 - 262,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
