Primary Objectives
Serve as the organization's expert on quantitative research methodology, optimizing sampling strategies, weighting, and applied statistics.
Establish analytical standards and best practices that improve the consistency and quality of our research.
Help teams solve complex research and statistical challenges.
Identify new methodologies and analytical approaches that strengthen Prodege's research offerings.

Detailed Job Duties
Advise research teams on study design, sampling, questionnaire design, weighting, and statistical methodology.
Recommend the most appropriate analytical approach for each research problem, balancing sound methodology with practical business needs.
Develop and validate weighting methodologies, significance testing approaches, derived metrics, and other statistical standards used across client projects.
Support advanced quantitative analyses, including segmentation, maxdiff/conjoint, experimental design, longitudinal research, and the integration of survey and behavioral data.
Apply advanced stratification, oversampling, and quota-management techniques to large, non-probability, incentivized consumer panels.
Partner with Product, Programming, Engineering, and Data Visualization to ensure research methodologies are implemented accurately within our platforms and reporting solutions.
Evaluate emerging research methodologies, statistical techniques, and analytical technologies, recommending where they can improve our research practices and products.
Develop documentation and best practices that make complex methodologies easier to apply consistently across the organization.
Mentor researchers and analysts, providing guidance on challenging methodological and analytical questions.
Represent Prodege's research expertise through client presentations, internal training, webinars, conference presentations, white papers, and other industry contributions.

A successful Principal, Market Research Scientist becomes the person teams rely on when research questions become difficult, sampling methodologies and approaches need refinement, statistical decisions matter, or a client needs confidence in the methodology. Beyond individual projects, this role leaves a lasting impact by improving how research is designed, analyzed, and delivered across Prodege. Success is reflected in stronger research standards, more consistent analytical practices, and research solutions that continue to differentiate the company in the marketplace.
The MUST Haves
Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Survey Methodology, Economics, Quantitative Psychology, Political Science, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
10+ years of experience applying advanced quantitative research methods within market research, survey research, or another applied research environment.
Strong expertise in survey methodology, sampling, weighting, statistical inference, multivariate analysis, and experimental design.
Experience advising researchers or clients on research design and statistical methodology.
Proficiency with R, Python, SAS, SPSS, Sawtooth or comparable statistical software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and influence decisions through expertise and sound judgment.
The Nice to Haves
Experience supporting enterprise tracking studies or other large-scale research programs.
Experience integrating survey, behavioral, transactional, or third-party data.
Experience developing statistical specifications for dashboards or reporting platforms.
Publications, conference presentations, or recognized contributions to quantitative research or survey methodology.
Familiarity with AI-assisted research or emerging analytical technologies.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $135,000 to $155,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to; the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, the type and length of knowledge and skills for the position, education, training, etc. Prodege is a multi-state employer and final compensation within this range could be impacted by work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
