Department Overview
The Quality Management Department at Wilson Health is dedicated to improving patient outcomes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety and high reliability. The team partners across departments to analyze performance, implement process improvements, and support organization-wide quality and patient safety initiatives.
Position Summary
The Quality Management Specialist supports organizational goals related to quality outcomes, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for leading performance improvement initiatives, conducting data analysis, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance processes and reduce risk across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical quality reviews and perform data abstraction for required reporting
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improving patient outcomes and processes
  • Complete timely submissions to regulatory and external agencies
  • Perform detailed chart reviews using quality assurance criteria
  • Screen patient cases and recommend provider peer review when appropriate
  • Monitor performance metrics and initiate process improvement efforts
  • Serve as a consultant to leaders and staff on process improvement using LEAN methodologies
  • Support and report on components of the hospital QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) Plan
  • Promote a culture of safety through risk assessments, observations, and event reporting
  • Assist with hospital-wide quality and patient safety initiatives
  • Support accreditation, certification, and regulatory readiness activities
  • Perform additional duties within scope as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct patient care experience (acute care preferred)
  • Experience in Quality Management within a healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and act on data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and web-based systems
  • Knowledge of LEAN methodology preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
