Job description

Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine America is looking for a skilled Quality Management System Representative to join our team in Franklin, IN.

Summary

Quality Management System Rep is a member of Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine America, Inc. (MTEA) Quality Assurance (QA) team who ensures that processes necessary for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented, and maintained, and the top management is informed about the QMS performance/effectiveness and needed improvements. QMS Rep is responsible for ensuring that MTEA products, processes, and facilities comply with the relevant requirements of the Quality, Environmental, and/or Laboratory management systems as well as customer specific requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the company.
  • Maintain the Quality Manual and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for MTEA.
  • Analyze current and future procedural needs of MTEA.
  • Organize and manage the plant internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system.
  • Plan and ensure completion of IATF16949 audits, maintain documentation on audit findings, and assist in training/guidance to other auditors.
  • Host external QMS audits as interface with third-party auditing company.
  • Maintain the Standard Operating Procedure content and coordinate the issuing of these documents (with Quality Administrator).
  • Support all departments to ensure products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of QMS.
  • Manage Document initiation and change requests.
  • Assist with training with quality awareness.
  • Support on reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including summary of Management Review Meeting and Actions requested by Top Management.
  • Support customer audits.
  • Undertake training to pursue continuous personal and professional development.
  • Work overtime when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by MTEA management.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 3+ years of automotive manufacturing experience. Preferably, 1+ year of quality-related experience.
  • IATF16949 Lead Auditor Certification
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Quality orientation as a critical thinker with a high sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build commitment with individuals and a team atmosphere across departments.
  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning, and decision making.
  • Understanding the importance of supporting both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated understanding of root cause analysis, continuous improvement (kaizen), & auditing.
  • Basic understanding of quality tools to improve processes.
  • Working experience with FMEA, VDA/FMEA & Control Plan.
  • Ability to understand manufacturing processes, prints, and other technical information.
