Position Duration: Now through September 30th

Summary
As a Seasonal Quality Control Instrument Preparer at Bertrand’s Music, you will play a critical role in ensuring students have access to high-quality musical instruments as they return to school. This temporary position is focused on the busy back-to-school rental season and runs through September 30th. You understand that dedicated work, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence provide students with the tools they need to enjoy their musical experience. With the support of the team around you, you will help process our rental fleet and customer repairs to ensure each instrument is clean, sanitized, and in optimal playing condition.

Description

As a Seasonal Quality Control Instrument Preparer, you will:

  • Clean, sanitize, and prepare rental instruments for redistribution
  • Conduct initial play tests for instruments you can play and learn to identify common issues in others
  • Coordinate with retail, warehouse, and repair staff to streamline instrument processing
  • Assist with customer and school instrument cleaning and sanitization
  • Learn and apply quality control standards to ensure a professional presentation

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and assess returned rental instruments
  • Clean mouthpieces and perform surface-level cleaning
  • Operate UVC sanitization equipment
  • Bag and perform quality checks on instruments for rental or return to customers
  • Support repair technicians and warehouse staff with seasonal projects
  • Represent Bertrand’s Music positively in all customer interactions
