Job description

The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that products, services, and processes meet internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.

This role leads quality assurance initiatives, drives continuous improvement, and collaborates cross-functionally to foster a culture of excellence. The position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills.

Quality Control (QC) responsibilities span multiple areas, including:

  • Manufactured Goods
  • Field Quality Reports (FQR)
  • Incoming and Outgoing Materials
  • OEM Quality Business Reviews (QBR)
  • Compliance with company, customer, and government requirements


Essential Functions

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), including policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Establish and execute a quality plan aligned with global quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Materials, and Customer Service to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Production and Development teams to support ongoing production and new product introductions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable national and international regulations and standards.
  • Oversee testing procedures to ensure proper execution, consistency, and evaluation.
  • Integrate quality processes across production and product development environments.
  • Manage inspection and product release processes for incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
  • Evaluate product specifications against customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with legal, environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Lead preparation for and participation in internal and external quality audits.
  • Analyze performance data and generate reports for management review.
  • Approve new product samples and engineering change submissions.
  • Prepare quality documentation and reports (e.g., SCARs, failure analyses, OEM reports).
  • Establish and maintain product testing benchmarks and quality metrics.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances and customer complaints.
  • Define supplier quality standards in collaboration with the purchasing team.
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality metrics and performance tracking systems.
  • Interface with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
  • Train QC/QA staff on standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Supervise daily QC/QA team activities, including hiring, evaluations, and performance management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Applied Science, Industrial Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in quality management, quality assurance, or quality engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, auditing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM)
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or similar QMS frameworks
  • Familiarity with OSHA, RoHS, PFAS, TSCA, UL, Conflict Minerals, and CE standards
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems
