Job description

Plant Quality Manager
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a motivated and hands-on Plant Quality Manager for a company based in Cookeville, TN. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for collaborating in achieving the plant business results established by management, by applying and maintaining the company quality system and legislation applied in each case.

Schedule and Hours 
Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.

Plant Quality Manager Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure implementation of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental System (HSQE) at the plant, and guarantee that the documentation is updated.
  • Adapt the HSQE System to new customer needs and local rules.
  • Ensure the quality of the productive processes at the plant.
  • Control and follow-up on the evolution of quality costs, establishing corrective action plans if necessary.
  • Follow up of the customer satisfaction (customer scorecards, B2B portals…).
  • Authority to stop the production and deliveries in case that it is required.
  • Develop control programs, quality reports and authorization for new projects.
  • Contact and visit customers for failure prevention (including failures related to the Health & Safety guarantees), administer complaints, manage improvement proposals, sample and controlling presentations.
  • Ensure integration of OHS procedures and instructions issued in HSEQ, activating the participation of the Representative System OHS before approval.
  • Manage and develop the plant's Quality team. 
  • Take part in the Plant Committee, representing Quality and Environmental functions.
  • Lead the team, guaranteeing its effectiveness, development and motivation, fostering the company values.
Plant Quality Manager Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 4 years in a similar position. preferably in automotive manufacturing.
  • Knowledge in quality & environment systems.
  • Current legislation knowledge (Rules ISO/EN, KPI, Statistic Elements).
  • IATF Automotive Standards.
  • Basic VDA Core Tools.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
