Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

  • Assist the Quality/SPS Manager for all Customer issues, lead corrective actions, and ensure Sonoco is meeting all customer requirements.
  • Support Quality/SPS Manager in developing long-term strategy for the Plant Quality Department
  • Manage day to day tasks for hourly associates
  • Providing development and maintenance of the quality testing/reporting system.
  • Responsible to develop, coordinate, support, train, assist, and facilitate within all attributes of the Quality Management System
  • Responsible for the Advanced Product Quality Planning Process (APQP)
  • Lead the continuous improvement program.
  • Reduces variation within work tasks to improve process efficiency and quality.
  • Managing the specification, test methods, instructions, and audit processes.
  • Ensure quality records are maintained.
  • Develops best practices for each operation within the plant and trains across all shifts as required
