Job description

Ehrhardt Automation Systems is looking for an experienced Director of Quality Systems. This person will be responsible for developing, directing, and maintaining a Quality Assurance program in compliance with ASME NQA-1, ISO 19443, and ISO 9001. This position requires teamwork, as collaboration with management, department managers, team members, and external stakeholders will be essential. This person will also be providing leadership for development, implementation, and maintenance of all program systems.
Salary: $125,000-$150,000 annually, dependent on experience.
Respon s ibilities:
  • Responsible for overseeing and implementing corrective action and preventive action systems.
  • Responsible for internal and external audit programs.
  • Collect and organize quality data, compile the results, and communicate those results to management and external stakeholders.
  • While collaborating with management, maintain and update management reports as required by the quality system.
  • Organizes and chairs the Material Review Board and maintains record of board decisions and dispositions.
  • Oversees audits, the visits of customers utilities, and international government regulators. Closes any comments, suggestions or findings resulting from the audits or visits and makes improvements to reach optimal satisfaction.
  • Oversee and implement the continuous improvement program, seeking areas of improvement with quality standards and processes.
  • Responsible for the employee training program, ensuring all employees are up to date on all systems, procedures and safety regulations.
  • Position will also fill the role of Process Engineer, with responsibilities for special processes, such as: laser welding, laser cutting, vacuum heat treating and furnace brazing.

General Ski l ls/Qua l ifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, with 8 to 10 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in quality or test engineering.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial nuclear industry with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • Certified as an ASME NQA-1 lead auditor
  • Verbal and written skills for preparing reports and recommendations for use at all operational levels.
