Job Summary

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes within our manufacturing facility while ensuring alignment with QMS and ISO standards. This role combines hands-on leadership with advanced technical analysis, system performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Supervisor will lead a team of technicians, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily quality operations, including inspection, testing, and documentation.
  • Lead, train, and develop quality technicians in inspection techniques, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations (e.g., ISO, ASTM), including adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on quality management system performance using key metrics such as customer defects, First Pass Yield (FPY), scrap, and cost of non-quality.
  • Analyze product data, process parameters, and production trends to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
  • Determine appropriate inspection and testing requirements utilizing statistical methods and quality tools.
  • Lead and conduct internal audits; support external audits, inspections, and certification activities.
  • Review plant conformance to standards and lead periodic quality performance reviews with plant leadership.
  • Investigate non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints; drive root cause analysis using structured methodologies (e.g., A3, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
  • Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using PDCA methodology to ensure effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Ensure products and services are fit for purpose and meet all customer, legal, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional responses to field complaints and quality issues, leveraging complaint tracking systems and stakeholder input.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, R&D, and other departments to resolve quality issues and support new product development.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation, records, and reporting systems to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Prepare and present routine quality performance reports and insights to plant and senior leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to drive alignment and continuous improvement in quality performance.
  • Assist in managing and improving quality-related KPIs and dashboards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and standards (ISO 9001, ASTM, etc.).
  • Proficient in quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA.
  • Familiarity with ERP and QMS systems; ability to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities

.Education and Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role; experience in building materials is a plus.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
