Quality Technician
Location: Mishawaka, IN
Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM | Monday–Friday
Pay: $21.00/hour

Job Summary
We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for supporting quality assurance processes through inspections, gauge calibration, data collection, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, understands quality systems, and is committed to ensuring products meet customer and company quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Quality Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Calibrating Inspection Equipment: Perform monthly gauge calibrations and maintain accurate calibration records to ensure all equipment remains compliant.
  • Supporting Quality Assurance: Document customer and company quality expectations while participating in daily quality activities.
  • Conducting Continuous Improvement Activities: Participate in capability studies, document corrective actions, and support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Analyzing Returned Materials: Evaluate returned products, document findings, and assist with corrective action reporting.
  • Maintaining SPC Data: Enter Statistical Process Control (SPC) data into the system and generate reports as needed.
  • Performing Product Inspections: Complete quality inspections, including first-piece and last-piece inspections, while supporting company quality management systems.
In addition, you will assist with QS initiatives and perform other quality-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous quality technician or quality inspection experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and compile quality data into meaningful reports.
  • Understanding of quality standards and manufacturing processes.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Skills
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Quality Systems: Knowledge of quality inspection procedures, gauge calibration, and quality documentation.
