Job description

Directs and coordinates purchasing and distribution of raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities

  • Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures
  • Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices
  • Maintains purchasing records in compliance with established company policies and procedures
  • Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports
  • Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy
  • Establishes and maintains raw material inventories
  • Directs preventative maintenance program in conjunction with maintenance personnel
  • Arranges for disposal of surplus materials
