Position: Product Line Purchasing Manager (REPS)

About the role
The Product Line Purchasing Manager aligns the purchasing strategy with REPS Product Line (PL) to ensure supplier cost targets, capacity and footprints meet requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver BOM cost roadmap to support price roadmap;
  • Develop strategic suppliers with competitiveness in cost and other competitive advantages;
  • Support development of the 10 Year Product Plan:
    • Work with PL Directors, Engineering and Sales to develop long term target pursuit plans and a pool of key opportunities;
  • Support development and execution if the 5-year Business Plan:
    • Align with Sales/Engineering Match Pairs on future pursuits (Revenue Plan vs. High Priority Overlay vs. Op. Pool);
  • Support benchmark competitor analysis studies, and drive execution of supply based opportunities;
  • Work with Product Engineering for design to cost / design for purchasing activities;
  • Drive early supplier selection/development to support earlier optimal concept designs;
  • Understand 'should be' cost versus current pricing and drive any gap closure;
  • Support Make Vs Buy studies;
  • Represent Global Supplier Management (GSM) function in product team meetings and drive necessary matched pair activity on pursuits;
  • Regular interface with cross-functional senior leadership;

Qualifications
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of automotive purchasing experience.
    • REPS experience and knowledge of related commodities and cost drivers preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of colleagues across functions and regions. Demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrates exceptional analytical ability in navigating complex situations.
  • Professionalism: Represent the CPO and Nexteer with professionalism and integrity.
  • Travel: Ability to travel globally

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree preferred in Business Administration, Engineering or related field
