CS Automation is looking to fill a part-time position, hours and days yet to be determined. This person will assist the Purchasing Manager and Customer Service Manager in support of our fast-paced daily operations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Run weekly overdue purchase order reports and follow up on flagged late items. Reach out to vendors to get updates and ensure shipments.
  • Run weekly expedite reports and check for flagged items where the expected delivery for customers is past the required dates. Work with vendors to attempt expedites and follow up with outside sales if alternate parts are suggested.
  • Check receipts issues log on a daily basis and take action as appropriate such as notifying vendors of shortages, wrong product received, returning defective items, quarantining inventory, etc. Monitor non-conforming portal for new issues. Work closely with warehouse staff to resolve receipt issues.
  • Fulfill customer requests for C of C’s and subsequent documentation requirements.
  • Assist Purchasing Manager with inventory management projects and tasks.
  • Receive cross training and develop skill diversification in the customer service department for times when department is at capacity.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree or higher preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of supply chain experience.
  • Strong computer skills including a high level of competence with Excel.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Communicates professionally (verbal and written) and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships with current and potential vendors as well as co-workers.
  • Solid organizational skills, including the ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage.

Additional Skills Desired but not Mandatory:

  • Prophet 21 or comparable ERP system experience is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory and supply management systems.
