Job description

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for executing all purchasing activities in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role supports the Purchasing and Realization teams to ensure supplies and services are under budget and on site when required.
What you'll be handling
  • Support day-to-day purchasing and sourcing activities, including issuing RFQs/RFPs, creating purchase orders, and coordinating with approved suppliers.
  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers to track orders, resolve delivery, pricing, and quality issues, and ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Assist with supplier evaluation and performance monitoring, including delivery, quality, and supply continuity metrics.
  • Support cost control, process improvement, and sourcing initiatives under the guidance of the Purchasing Manager.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within the ERP system and support internal reporting needs plus coordinate purchasing activities cross-functionally with Project Management, Engineering, Controls, Solutions Engineering, and Sales to ensure requirements are met.
  • Perform general administrative support and office management duties related to office supplies, facility needs, and travel coordination.
What you'll need
  • Education: Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent work experience required
  • Experience: Prior experience in purchasing, preferably within a manufacturing or automated logistics environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain principles and processes
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
