Brief Role Description

This position is Career Level 19P, located in Auburn Hills, MI, with a Role Classification of Hybrid.

Role Summary

Product Support is the primary quality liaison group between the factories and Volkswagen of America.  The role of the Data Analyst is to develop, implement, and maintain vehicle quality reports, performance metrics and all other reporting functions within VW Product Support and Warranty.  Additionally, the role will manage/coordinate the budget for the Volkswagen Product Support vehicle fleet, lead the data warehouse improvement initiative and lead reporting for all VW new vehicle launches. 

Role Responsibilities

Field Reporting and Data Development

  • Generate and publish required charts, reports, and data analysis for assigned carlines/engines to support the vehicle quality improvement (FAP) process.
  • Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of monthly and quarterly reports for upper management and Wolfsburg.
  • Handle AdHoc data requests from within VW Aftersales and communicate the findings
  • Lead warranty-specific data improvement projects to drive innovation and process improvements
  • Identify, develop, establish and maintain new quality reports based on knowledge of the warranty system

New Vehicle Launch Management 

  • Create new vehicle launch report in PROFI system on a weekly basis
  • Ensure all data and reporting for the new vehicle launch is accurate, timely and consistent
  • Collaborate with new vehicle launch coordinator and managers on a daily basis

Collaboration 

  • Work closely with Data Scientists to create synergies within group and grow data reporting functions
  • Work directly with VW Warranty team to improve warranty claim data content and accuracy
  • Support the creation of presentations and reports for management

Fleet Management 

  • Plan, order and manage a fleet of vehicles
  • Work directly with the TSC and external contacts to ensure vehicles are properly cared for and maintained while in service
Qualifications

Years of Experience:

  • 5+ years professional experience
  • 3+ years warranty or automotive technical related work experience
  • 2+ years Business Objects experience

Education:

Required - Bachelor degree in Statistics, Data Science, Management or related field

Desired - Master's degree in related field
