Job description

Pump Engineer (High-Pressure Systems) Overview The Pump Engineer plays a critical role in supporting both new product development and the enhancement of existing high-pressure pump systems used in oilfield services. This position requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, with hands-on experience in plunger pump components and assemblies. This individual will lead and contribute to complex design initiatives, including product development, testing, and performance analysis, while collaborating closely with manufacturing, operations, and cross-functional engineering teams. Key Responsibilities
  • Support the full product lifecycle for high-pressure plunger pumps, including concept development, design, testing, validation, and field support
  • Design and develop pump components such as valves, seats, plungers, power-end assemblies, and related systems to improve performance, reliability, and safety
  • Analyze pump designs for structural integrity, fluid flow performance, and resistance to vibration, corrosion, and erosion
  • Conduct testing and validation activities; interpret lab and field data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
  • Perform failure analysis and provide technical troubleshooting support for existing products
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality expectations
  • Optimize designs for manufacturability, serviceability, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, operations, and other engineering disciplines to deliver robust solutions
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers
Qualifications Required:
