Salary: Starting $60,000 Annually

Summary

Thermoflex is a fast-growing, manufacturer that designs and manufactures all-weather floor mats for the automotive industry. We are seeking a motivated individual to serve as Procurement Agent in our Engineering Department. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the procurement of materials and components for the Engineering Department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret multiple sources of information to determine the best course of action to meet customer and departmental specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with Management and Engineering Team on developing correct inventory portfolios for specific categories
  • Establish vendor relationships supporting collaboration and management objectives
  • Effectively communicate with on inventory requests and concerns
  • Support cost in realizing cost accuracy goals
  • Prepare, maintain, track order entry of all purchase orders
  • Contact suppliers regarding material problems, delivery delays, or poor quality
  • Track open or outstanding orders. Follow up with customers or suppliers as needed to ensure appropriate close out process is executed.
  • Work with Accounts Payable / Finance department to ensure receipt of product so that timely payment can be issued
  • Serves as a liaison between engineering, sales, and finance.
  • Research/source suppliers for new components as needed
  • Manage and work to actively close and invoice any open Tool Billing to our customers
  • Manage and adjust items/quantities in our MRO vending machine system as needed
  • Using our ERP system, setup all new component items so that they can be added to BOMs
  • Coordinate freight pickup/delivery as needed for occasional orders
  • Other duties as assigned by management


Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

  • 1-3 years experience in procurement or purchasing
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, create detailed reports, and make informed decisions
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
