Job Description
The University of Alabama Birmingham, Heersink School of Medicine, Department of Surgery is currently recruiting faculty candidates to be considered for a tenure track or non-tenure track faculty appointment in the Division of Plastic Surgery. The successful candidate will be expected to meet clinical, research and teaching needs, as applicable. UAB Plastic Surgery provides a broad range of surgical services, including aesthetic surgery, breast reconstruction, hand surgery, cleft/craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery, microsurgical reconstruction and general plastic surgery spanning the spectrum of the specialty. Research initiative include basic science, translational and outcomes based projects. Currently, the UAB Plastic Surgery Residency Program trains seven residents under the independent training model. In addition to our focus on patient care, we also provide an environment that supports the education of health professionals and encourages advanced research to further medical science.
The University of Alabama at Birmingham, one of three autonomous institutions within The University of Alabama System, is the only four-year, public university in the state's largest metropolitan area.
