Field Service Technician โ€“ Electro-Spindlesย 


Hiring in:ย Duluth, GAย 


ProSearchย Recruiting Partners, an independent franchise of theย MRINetworkย that specializes in hiring for factory automation OEMs andย integrators is hiring forย aย global leader in the design and manufacture of high-technology electromechanical components for industrial machine tools.ย This position will support customers throughย maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electro-spindle systems.ย 


Theย Field Serviceย Technicianย willย be responsible for:ย 

  • Diagnosing and troubleshootingย electrical and mechanical issuesย in electro-spindles and associated machine systemsย 
  • Performingย disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and rebuildingย of electro-spindle componentsย 
  • Rebuilding spindles includingย bearing replacement, shaft grinding, housing boring, and mechanical adjustmentsย 
  • Conductingย performance testing and reliability verification, including vibration analysis, temperature monitoring, and runout measurementย 
  • Interpretingย technical drawings, schematics, and manualsย to support repair and diagnosticsย 
  • Operatingย electronic and mechanical test equipmentย such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, micrometers, and dial indicatorsย 
  • Maintainingย accurateย service and repair documentationย using computer systemsย 
  • Collaborating withย engineering teams and senior technical leadership in Italyย to resolve complex technical issuesย 
  • Communicating clearly with customersย regardingย technical issues, repair status, and preventative maintenance strategiesย 
  • Ensuring compliance withย safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper use of PPEย 
  • Traveling to customer facilities when necessary toย diagnose system-level issues involving machine integration or electrical connectionsย 


Theย Field Serviceย Technicianย will haveย the followingย experience:ย 

  • Associate degree or technical certification inย Electronic Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or similar disciplineย preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)ย 
  • Experience servicing or repairingย electro-mechanical machinery or machine tool componentsย 
  • Experience withย spindles, rotating equipment, CNC machinery, or woodworking machineryย is highly preferredย 
  • Strong knowledge ofย electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsย 
  • Ability to read and interpretย electrical and mechanical schematicsย 
  • Experience usingย diagnostic and test equipmentย such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and motor diagnostic toolsย 
  • Ability toย work independently andย operateย autonomously in a technical roleย 
  • Strong communicationย skills and ability toย collaborate with international technical teamsย 
  • Willingness toย travel approximately 50%, primarily regionallyย 
  • Experience working directly onย industrial machines or machine componentsย
