What does a proposal development coordinator do?

A Proposal Development Coordinator is responsible for organizing and managing the creation of proposals, typically in response to requests for proposals (RFPs) from clients or funding agencies. They coordinate between various departments, gather necessary information, and ensure that proposals are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time. Their role often includes editing, formatting, and reviewing documents, as well as tracking deadlines and managing proposal-related communications. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for this position.

These abilities are crucial for producing high-quality, compliant proposals on tight deadlines, directly impacting an organization’s ability to win new business.

What are some common challenges faced by proposal development coordinators during the proposal process?

Proposal Development Coordinators often face tight deadlines and shifting client requirements, which can make organizing resources and meeting submission timelines challenging. Coordinating input from multiple stakeholders—such as subject matter experts, writers, and graphic designers—requires strong communication and project management skills. Job Title

Marketing and Proposals Specialist

Quick Overview

This role is a blend of marketing coordination, proposal development, and strategic support within the A&E (Architecture & Engineering) industry. The Marketing Coordinator will lead RFQ/SOQ proposal efforts, support business development initiatives, coordinate marketing campaigns, and work closely with leadership and technical teams to position the company for new project wins.

The ideal candidate understands the engineering consulting world, can manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable coordinating between technical staff, leadership, and clients.
